DISABILITY AND PROGRAM SERVICES

Disability 101
A comprehensive presentation providing employers with a basic understanding and overview of
a variety of disabilities and mental health challenges, accommodations, ADA, and resources
within the community to support individuals with disabilities in the workplace. Presentation
inclusive of roundtable breakout sessions and curriculum.
Time: 2 hours
Disability Training for Managers and Supervisors
An in-depth look into individual disabilities and mental health challenges employers encounter
with their employees. Presentation includes ways employers can recognize these disabilities,
especially the “hidden” and undisclosed disabilities, and to provide employers with strategies
and tools to support these employees. Inclusive in the training will be charts supervisors and
co-workers can utilize on site, how to encourage disclosure, and what accommodations and
resources would result in successful outcomes for both the employee and the employer.
Time: 10 weeks of 1 hour sessions per week
Customized Employer-based Curriculum and Training:
This program is developed in partnership with an employer’s Human Resources and
employment training team. Customized Curriculum will be developed to meet the needs and
demands of employers who do not employ a Director of Diversity and Disability. This is an
intensive customized program for supervisors, managers, and co-workers who desire a greater
understanding of disabilities, diversity, accommodations, on-site support, and intervention
strategies to increase recruitment and retention.
Time: 30 days of 1 hour sessions per week
ADA Basics and Accommodations
A basic overview of the Americans With Disabilities Act. What really is expected of employers?
Dispelling of fears and misconceptions. Overview of a variety of accommodations; from the
simplistic to the more complex.
Time: 1 ½ hours
Individualized Accommodation Assessments for Employees
Time: TBD based upon each individual case
Personalized Individual Coaching on the Job Site
Employer recognizes coaching is necessary to support an employee in meeting the demands of
their job and retaining employment.
Time: TBD based upon each individual case.
